I'm a mezzo who has studied classical voice for over 14 years, but always wanted to belt and sing contemporary styles. It took me YEARS of trial and error, side eyes, pushing my voice and/or singing everything with a head dominant sound before I finally figured out how to belt through the lens of the technique I already had (which was mainly classical!)

About Me
I’m Jenna and I am a Mezzo-soprano, teacher, and arranger living in the DC metro area. I am a crossover performer that takes pride in exploring all that music has to offer. When authenticity of self meets authenticity of genre/style, that is where the magic happens. This ideology reflects in my performances, arranging style, and teaching style.
I have 2 bachelor’s degrees from the University of Maryland-College Park in Vocal Performance and Music Education as well as a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from NYU Steinhardt.
I believe having multiple interests makes us so beautifully human and we should not turn that part of us off when it comes to music or performing!

Master’s Recital
Jenna will be performing her master’s recital on 4/18/22 in Provincetown Playhouse. She is doing this recital in partial fulfillment of her MM from NYU Steinhardt. She is performing works by Schumann, Sor, Debussy, Duke Ellington, and more! To watch her recital, click the button below!
